Sheriff's Summary
For June 27 to Wednesday

Felonious Assault
On Wednesday at approximately 7:50 p.m., WCSO Deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of Manchester Drive in Superior Township for a Felonious Assault. It was reported a family member came to the residence and became angry at one resident.
The suspect, a 35-year old Ypsilanti Township resident, struck the resident in the head with a hammer and left the scene. The victim, a 37-year old Superior Township resident, refused medical attention, and received minor injuries.
Deputies checked the area for the suspect with negative results. .

Burglary
On Wednesday at approximately 12:25 a.m., WCSO Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Johnson Street in Ypsilanti Township for a burglary. Entry was gained by breaking a side basement window.
One Apple cellular phone with charging station, two circular saws, one electric razor, one digital camera, and a pair of Asics running shoes were taken. Suspects are unknown at this time.

Retail Fraud
On June 29 at approximately 2:50 p.m., a WCSO Deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of East Michigan Ave in Ypsilanti Township for a retail fraud. It was reported two subjects walked into the store and attempted to leave the store with over $113 of unpaid merchandise.
The first suspect, a 54-year old city of Ann Arbor resident, and second suspect is a 57-year old Ypsilanti Township resident. Both were arrested and released at the scene. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor.

Retail Fraud
On June 29 at approximately 5:50 p.m., a WCSO Deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of East Michigan Ave in Ypsilanti Township for a retail fraud. It was reported two subjects walked into the store and attempted to conceal $53 worth of food. Both subjects were arrested.
The 25-year old Ypsilanti Township resident was transported to County Jail reference a warrant for his arrest. The 23-year old Ypsilanti Township resident was released at the scene. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor.

Retail Fraud
On June 29 at approximately 7 p.m., a WCSO Deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of East Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti Township for a retail fraud. It was reported a subject walked into the store and attempted to conceal $10 worth of wine.
The 50-year old city of Ann Arbor resident was arrested and transported back to his residence. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor.

Burglary
On June 28 at 4 a.m., WCSO Deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of Harvest Lane in Superior Township for a burglary in progress. It was reported the homeowner awoke to some noises in her front room. She discovered an unknown suspect halfway in her window.
Upon the homeowner yelling, the suspect fled the area in a red SUV with grey trim. Deputy Visel located and pursued the vehicle in Ypsilanti Township. The suspect ditched the vehicle and fled on foot, evading capture. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Ypsilanti Township. The suspect is unknown at this time. The suspect was described through police reports as a black male, between 15 to 19 years, husky build, with medium length hair and wearing a brown shirt and shorts.

Felonious Assault
On June 27 at 10:05 p.m., WCSO Deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Ford Boulevard in Ypsilanti Township for a felonious assault. It was reported that a verbal argument between acquaintances escalated to the point whereby the resident pulled a gun on the other person and threatened to kill the other person and her boyfriend. The couple left the residence unharmed.
Deputies responded to the residence and located the suspect and the gun. The 48-year old Ypsilanti Township resident was arrested and transported to the County Jail. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutors office.
