Date: Saturday, January 19, 2013 - 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan will host its inaugural "Celebrity Spelling Bee" on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Brother Gerontious Memorial Gymnasium (108 W. Elm Aveneu) at 6 p.m. Local business and community leaders, including Monroe Mayor Robert E. Clark, will step up to the microphone to be tested as an anticipated audience of 300 watches. More fun than competition, the Bee is meant to help raise awareness about Catholic Charities' programs in Monroe. The adults-only event will include raffles for prizes, a cash bar and refreshments. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. Contact Joe at (734) 735-0475 or joetmph@gmail.com for tickets and more information.
