Port Huron Hospital Childbirth Education (Series Week 3) Monday, January 21, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM This four-week series teaches general childbirth preparation including a variety of options available to the birthing family.
It is held on Tuesday's for four consecutive weeks. It will cover the birth process, labor preparation, birth videos, a tour of the Acheson Family Birth Place, pain management options including relaxation and breathing techniques, and early post partum care of mom and baby.
Week Three - Pain Management/Relaxation and breathing techniques during child birth:
This class will concentrate on personal pain management such as epidurals and medication. It will also include a wide variety of labor management options including basic breathing techniques, positioning, and using the labor ball. Please bring a pillow. NOTE: There are no classes in December.
